At some point in our lives, we all wonder about the meaning of life. Johnny, a burnt-out foreign correspondent, haunted by all he has seen, wrestles with this question as he encounters people and stories from his past, not knowing how to carry them into his future.
SEASONS is an extraordinary immersive supper performance in three short acts with interludes for food and drink. Created and performed by the community of St Paul’s Church, Cambridge, its choir and musicians, SEASONS is a response to the famous text Ecclesiastes 3.1-8 - ‘for everything there is a season’. The themes and questions it encompasses were developed in a series of community workshops over the past 9 months and the result is an encouragement to live our way through life’s questions.
Ticket price includes table seating for the evening of both performance and food.
This performance was developed in a series of intergenerational community workshops facilitated by theatre composer (and Curate of St Paul’s) Becky Applin Warner. Woven into a rich tapestry by her and Debbie Whitton-Spriggs, it is directed by actor Patrick Morris with musical direction from Helen Robbins. After nine months of creative conversations and writing, the final production is an encouragement to live our way through life’s questions.
