SING FOR YOUR SUPPER - from Scratch!

SIMON HUMPHREYS, LAWRENCE ZAZZO

SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER

REHEARSAL AT 2PM

CONCERT AT 7.30PM

Traditionally, at every Artsfest we finish with a scratch musical performance. A self chosen choir rehearses in the afternoon, followed by a meal together, and performs to an audience in the evening.

This year we'll be tackling some well-known songs from the world of musical theatre including:

– Electricity (Billy Elliot)

– A Million Dreams (The Greatest Showman)

– Rhythm of Life (Chicago)

– One Day More (Les Miserables)

... and several more!

The concert will include items from the choir interspersed with solos and duets featuring the special talents of Larry Zazzo.

If you're an experienced singer, an inexperienced warbler or just fancy having a good old sing then do join us for a celebratory and fun occasion. We will rehearse in the afternoon, break for supper and then perform our repertoire in the evening. All music will be provided and while being able to read music will be an advantage it is not a pre-requisite.

The event is suitable for all ages - but ages 10 to 100 recommended.

SIMON HUMPHREYS

Simon has been a member of the St Paul’s community for over 25 years. He is a music teacher and musical theatre composer with experience of directing school, community and professional groups. Whilst he spends most of professional life with computing teachers these days, it’s a thrill to return to one of his enduring passions - musical theatre - having led the scratch Sound of Music at St Paul's many moons ago.
